President’s Welcome Message

I am honored to serve as President of the Greater Essex County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Our chapter is comprised of a talented group of passionate, accomplished, creative, supportive, and intellectual mothers who aspire to provide memorable experiences and opportunities for their children and community. GECC is a chapter that:

• Strives for excellence

• Dares to make a difference

• Challenges conventions and systems that have historically disenfranchised our people

• Strives to be inclusive

• Has a mission to help not only our children, but ALL children be their best

• Cares

It has always been my hope that our children will benefit from the Jack and Jill experience, reflect back on the time fondly, and take away key life lessons. The stated National objectives of Jack and Jill are: (1) to create a medium of contact for children that will stimulate growth and development and (2) to provide for children a constructive educational, cultural, civil, recreational, and social program.

May we harness our collective political, economic, and social power to be the change we want to see in the world. Let us “work, play and live together” in a way that helps facilitate a better world for the generations behind us and makes Jack & Jill of America, Inc. as relevant today as it has ever been.
